The Tribal HUD-VASH Expansion program offers rental assistance and supportive services to Native American Veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, living on or near reservations or other Indian areas. Administered by HUD in partnership with the Department of Veterans Affairs, the program aims to reduce homelessness among Native American Veterans by combining housing support with VA case management and clinical services.

Eligible applicants include Indian tribes and Tribally Designated Housing Entities (TDHEs) authorized by tribes, as defined under the Native American Housing Assistance and Self-Determination Act (NAHASDA). TDHEs applying must provide official tribal resolutions or certifications permitting them to act on the tribe's behalf. Applications involving multiple tribes must include supporting documentation from each participating tribe. Individuals, foreign entities, and sole proprietorships are not eligible.
